Bloggeration 28APRIL2008- Tyler's (my nephew) 1st Birthday
|
So, the love of my life lives in Atlanta, GA. His name is Tyler, he's my nephew, and he is all things right and perfect in this world to me. I'm originally from Atl. and my whole family still lives there along with Tyler, my sister Shelby and my Bro-in-law Kevin. I'm also the Ty-Man's (as I affectionately refer to him) Godmother, so of course I couldn't miss the celebration! So I hopped on AirTran and flew down for the party...a description in words of this event is unnecessary...pictures say it so much better! :)
First the cake...
 In the beginning, Tyler was a little skeptical....
 But with a little reassurance from Mommy and Daddy....
He quickly got the hang of things!
 
He did a good job sharing his birthday cake with Mommy too...after all, she worked very hard to make it!
 
Then it was time to cleanup that cake-face!
Which Ty-Man was obviously less than thrilled about, but there were presents to be had!....
Oh, were there presents....
 
 
Of course, seeing that Ty-Man was the star of the day, I didn't get as much "Aunt Heather" time as I wanted, so we got to hang-out Sunday morning before I flew back home to Virginia Beach...
....and it didn't take long for Tyler to discover the lingering balloons left over from the previous days' party:
Which spawned what I fondly refer to now as, "The Balloon Dance!"

Overall, it was a great birthday party and weekend. We are all so thankful to have such a special person like Tyler in our lives and that we have so much love and many blessings within and of each other as a family.
This little Hokie is a pretty cool guy...but my opinions may be a little bias. ;) |
