Disasters are lessons and opportunities in disguise
|
As I sat and watched the TV, saw the blogs, and talked with friends in Suffolk who were beside themselves at the devastation of losing everything....I had a thought.
I hope everyone uses this tragedy of the Tornado as an opportunity to realize that life 'aint that bad. Bills may be stacking up, faucets may be leaky, the job may be having you work long hours....hell, ya may even be going through a divorce...but ya know what...some folks lost it all yesterday...and have to rebuild from nothing. For some, piles of rubble are all they have to represent their hard work.
Things like this do not make the little problems go away...but perhaps they offer a chance to say "at least I have a place to rest my head and people who love me".
To the people and family of Suffolk...we are here for you and will not let you down. You'd help us...and we're going to help you.
Be ready....be willing...be thankful.
