So this will be part video...part text. Since some of ya'll emailed me at WOOWOO@POINTRADIO.COM and you prefer BOTH. BOTH! How greedy of you. HA! Just kidding...

First - I want to send the biggest hug to those people affected by the tornado. In Suffolk. In Driver. In all the parts of VA affected. WOW! I have lived in Norfolk for 24 years (25 in August...August 18th is my BDAY!) and I have never seen anything like this. A good friend e-mailed me some pictures....aerial shots he took from a news helicopter...and I was going to post them, but I don't think I feel comfy doing that. I just don't want to focus on the negative...pictures of demolished homes, overturned cars. Just not a cool picture to stare at.

So let's focus on the POSITIVE!! 

Like the coming together of the community. The volunteers who pitched in immediately. The folks at the Red Cross who made sure all the familes were safe. The folks at Kings Fork High School who gave shelter. And especially - YOU! The POINT listener who stopped by yesterday to donate money to the local Red Cross Relief Fund. WE RAISED $13,500!!! 
We thank you. Sincerly.

Secondly...or is it second? Help me out English teachers. No joke...in 7th grade...my English teacher's name was Mrs. Keister. HAR HAR! It was. No lie. Blair Middle School. That's where she taught. And where we read Robert Frost. OK - I am totally on ADD cycle right now. FOCUS UP WOO! Now I completly lost my train of thought....I did. Crap. I forgot what I was gonna say. OK. Maybe that's a sign. I need to go get some green tea and focus.
